The plenary meeting was opened by the Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev who emphasized the particular importance of the nanotechnologies for the state economics. The RF government deputy chairman Sergey Ivanov, the RF State Duma chairman Boris Gryzlov and other representatives of the State administration have also taken part in the Forum events. The state chief executives visited the exhibition of the novel nanotechnological products. They paid particular attention to the expositions of Russian participants. More than 11,000 politicians, businessmen, and scientists from Russia and foreign countries took part in the Forum. The exhibition of nanotechnological projects was visited by more than 10,000 people.
